The Travis County Collaborative for Children’s (TCCC) vision is that children in foster care in Central Texas will achieve dramatic healing and will find truly permanent, nurturing families in which they can thrive.
Our Goals
A healing, local family for every child in need: 200 new foster families
2 or fewer placements for every child
Positive, permanent placement in 2 years or less
The following four primary pillars support the collaborative’s activities.

Trauma-Informed Orgs. & Individuals
We have a shared understanding of what it means to be trauma-informed, and partner with the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at Texas Christian University and local experts to equip organizations and individuals with Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) techniques.
Healing Families
Through Foster Community, we are working with partner organizations to amplify their efforts recruit and train foster families and supporting volunteers to meet the needs of Central Texas children in care.
Trauma-Informed Public Policy
We participate on the Statewide Collaborative for Trauma Informed Care and work with CPS, court system, and other policy makers to advocate for trauma-informed practices that heal children and that support and incentivize agencies and families who pursue trauma-informed healing.
